#MTFTracks

The MTF Trackathon™ is exactly what it sounds like: a hackathon, but for music producers. We bring together a group of music makers, give them some tools, some sounds, a unique challenge - and 24 hours to make something great. The winning tracks are released as an EP to raise money for charity - and that charity is selected by the overall winner.

The next 24-hour MTF Trackathon™ will be held at MTF Frankfurt at Musikmesse, 4-5 April 2019.

The Trackathon will be led by Martine-Nicole Rojina, who will build on the Sister Moon project in which she literally bounces sounds and samples from the surface of the Moon itself.

This unique collection of ‘MoonBounced’ sounds will provide the basis for the challenge at the MTF Frankfurt Trackathon.

The MTF Splice Trackathon™ took place at Music Tech Fest Stockholm in September 2018.

UK Producer Femme led a 24-hour challenge to create a ‘sad banger’ with a Splice.com sample pack she curated especially for the event. A parallel online MTF Producer’s Challenge was set on the Splice website and hundreds of entrants from around the world competed to create a song that met that same brief.

The best overall tracks were selected by a panel of music industry judges, and the winners were given a little extra time to polish their song for release. Those tracks are included here on this charity EP.

Music Tech Fest will donate all proceeds from this release to Musicians Without Borders - selected by producer Ruben Svensson, whose song ‘Cold’ with singer/songwriter Nina Butler was the overall winner of the live 24-hour event.

The EP is available on every major music platform thanks to Amuse.io.
